Justin Fargas re-signs with Raiders

Great news. Now for most teams this would mean we won’t have to speculate about drafting Darren McFadden in April, but then as long as Al Davis is around we’ll never be mistaken as a team that does things in the conventional manner. And I don’t mind that at all. Been a Raiders fan for too long to think all the problems stem from Al alone. Looking at this year’s draft I think the Raiders can address the needs on the defensive line and wide receiver now that Fargas is signed.
Fargas is coming off a 1,000-yard rushing performance, posting 1,009 yards on 222 carries with four touchdowns and a 4.5-yards per rushing attempt average in 2007.
Fargas recorded a career-high 179 yards during the Silver and Black’s 35-17 win over the Dolphins in Miami last season. Fargas had four 100-yard games in 2007 and has five overall in his NFL career.
