Jason Kidd to Dallas Mavericks

Update: Not so fast, looks like reports are that Devean George is saying no to the trade.

Knee-jerk reaction what the hell is Dallas thinking, but then looking at the roster pretty good move by the Mavericks. Don’t know how far Kidd will take them in the playoffs but a good short-term fix. Sure glad the Blazers rumors from a couple of weeks ago were just that. Done deal: Jason Kidd traded to Dallas

Kidd and Malik Allen will go to Dallas for 24-year-old point guard Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop, Devean George, Maurice Ager, $3 million and two future No. 1 draft picks. In a side deal, the Nets sent guard Antoine Wright to Dallas for a future second-round pick.

Trail Blazers knock off Knicks in OT, 94-88

All-Star Brandon Roy had his first career triple-double and the Blazers survived what I think was a pretty inspired Knicks team. Easily a game the Blazers could have lost but they hung tough and got the win. I thought the Knicks looked good all night, beating the Blazers on the offensive boards all night. For awhile it looked like they might steal this one. Would have been nice to have seen some better defense from the Blazers. Good night for former Blazer Zach Randolph going for 25 points and 13 rebounds.

Roy finished the night with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.  Good win for the Blazers after giving away the last game.
